Ausha.co, the first platform dedicated to podcast hosting in France, announces its first fund raising of €1.2 million. Created in 2018 by the iCreo group, a specialist in digital audio, the platform already hosts more than 2600 podcasts and plans to double this figure by the end of 2020.
The financial backing was led by two regional funds: Nord France Amorçage and IRD Gestion, through its Nord Création fund. They were followed by 5 renowned Business Angels, including Alexandre Boucherot, CEO and co-founder of Ulule, the blogger Korben, Wilfrid André (ex Alice Délice), Nima Karimi and Jean-Baptiste Defossez (Karafun).
With this first fundraiser, Ausha has two major objectives
- The first, an expansion challenge: to reinforce its leadership position in France, with the opening of an office in Paris, and then to continue its growth in Europe..
- The second is product related: to continue to improve the platform by helping podcasters to develop the visibility of their production. The new functionalities will include the creation of data and audience development tools.

With more than 4 million listeners per month, podcasting is undoubtedly the medium that attracts the most attention from broadcasters, advertisers and of course creators.
For Maxime Piquette, Ausha is resolutely on the side of the creators and wishes to imagine and create the future of podcasting. For Ausha, the major challenge is to enable the emergence of dedicated actors in each market segment. In other words, in order to enable podcasters to make a living from their production, it is essential that hosting, broadcasting and media management are not concentrated in the hands of a single actor who presides over everyone’s destiny.
